An Update on Our Master Bedroom Elliptical Hiding Vignette

Happy Friday! In lieu of my normal Friday updates and links, I’m sharing an overdue update on our master bedroom. I hope you and yours are safe and sound out there. We didn’t do much this past week, except introduce the kids to Where’s Waldo […]

It’s Friday and the New Shop is Open!!!!

It’s Friday! This has been the fastest and hottest July of my life, but the new shop is officially open for business as of today! I’m skipping normal Friday links to let you know a bit more about it, and we’re throwing pillows instead of […]

It’s Friday! Another week has flown by. How is it already July? Here’s hoping the second half of 2020 is better than the first, but no improvements so far. Each week seems to bring a new calamity. I hope you’re taking care of yourselves out there, and finding some downtime to recharge from all the craziness in the world. Here’s my latest finds and what we’ve been into around here (including my big announcement from earlier this week!)

It’s Friday! I’m actually posting on a Friday again, trying to get back into a routine after this last maelstrom of a month (sort of literally here, we had some storm drama and damage). I hope you’re well and safe out there. We’re back to […]

TV/ Living Room Mantel & Curtain Updates

TV/ Living Room Mantel & Curtain Updates

Today I’ve got an overdue update for you on the TV/living room I introduced in the how to shop your house post from a few weeks back. (If things are feeling stale and you’re looking for ideas on how to decorate with what you have, that’s worth a read.)

Here’s the mantel before, where we started off in the shop post. Yes, those are TV remotes as the sole décor on our mantel. They say it’s a good place to display a collection, right?? Oh if you’re new here, this blog may be a little more real than you’re used to seeing in the interiors blogosphere. A lot of this is done off the cuff with the kids just out of frame, and things aren’t perfectly staged every step of the way because that’s just really not how it goes down. Before and after shots are after the jump.

It’s Friday! We have no power and three fewer trees!

Hello, it’s Friday! Quick and dirty post today, we have no power and I’m blogging from my iPhone 7 – thumb cramps commence! I’m sorry I missed last week. I decided to do some listening and reflecting instead of blogging. I see and hear you […]

A Beginner’s Quick-Start Guide to Square Foot Gardening

A Beginner’s Quick-Start Guide to Square Foot Gardening

I’ve spent the last few weeks in a fervent effort to research how to grow our own organic vegetables. To save you time, I’ve compiled what I’ve learned on the basics of getting started growing your own organic vegetable garden, and info and links for you to get everything you need.

It’s not too late to start a late-Spring vegetable garden. But time is closing in before things heat up for Summer. I started researching what it takes in the beginning of May, and it turns out you only need a few things. I’ve created a comprehensive, straightforward, no-nonsense guide of what you need to get started here for you, to save your time and sanity because there is a lot of click-bait, drip fed content out there to maximize clicks and monopolize your time.
