What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Comments
Your name and comment content will be displayed on the site if it passes moderation (no spam or unkind comments will be allowed in discussion). Your website may be linked if you enter it when submitting your comment.
Media
In general, users are not able to upload images or other media files to this website. However, if you do upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When you fill out a contact form on motifmotif.com I only collect the information you enter into the contact form. If the form asks for your name, email address, or any other personal information, then that information is sent to me via email and retained in the inbox unless you ask for it to be deleted.
Email addresses provided in contact forms are not ever used for any purpose other than to reply to you in regards to your reason for contacting me. I never sell information from contact forms to any third parties for any purpose.

Who I share your data with
I don’t and will never sell or share your data with anyone. I do use a 3rd party email provider to store your email address if you voluntarily signed up for my email newsletter but you can opt out at any time. Simply go to any of the emails I’ve sent you and hit the unsubscribe button to be removed from the list.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on this website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
